Team Lead, Real Vegan Cheese Project

Bioinnovation Group at UC Davis (December 2022 - Present)

• Investigated economical and environmentally sustainable methods for casein protein production using pklac2 cloning vector and recombinant protein production of K. lactis.
• Acquired essential wet lab skills, sterile techniques for cultures, and understanding of key genetic engineering concepts
• Collaborated with team members on evaluating progression and formulating next steps for the project.
• Presented research at the UC Davis URSCA Conference.
